Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of power network and high-power charging infrastructure projects. You will lead projects from the tender phase to commissioning, ensuring that schedules, costs, quality, and safety requirements are met.

Projects may include:

• Substation construction and expansions
• Medium- and high-voltage cabling
• Transformer and switchgear projects
• Data center power supply solutions
• Grid connection and reinforcement projects
• High-power charging infrastructure
• Battery energy storage systems

You will work closely with customers, designers, site management, subcontractors, and power grid operators. Your working style is proactive, risk-aware, and focused on managing complex project entities.

At the initial stage, the role has a strong focus on earthworks-related project components.

The position also offers an opportunity to leverage your own expertise in developing a newly established business area and team.

Key Responsibilities

Overall Project Responsibility

• Responsible for tendering, planning, scheduling, and financial performance of projects
• Lead project execution and ensure successful delivery to the customer
• Manage forecasting, cost tracking, and contractual compliance

 

Leadership and Execution Management

• Lead the project organization within electrical contracting and support earthworks project management
• Ensure site safety, quality, and effective communication
• Define roles and responsibilities and coordinate project stakeholders
• Manage subcontractors and ensure clear roles also during peak workload periods

Risk Management, Quality and Profitability

• Identify and manage technical, schedule, and contractual risks
• Lead the handling of quality deviations and claims situations
• Ensure project profitability and customer satisfaction

What We Expect from You

• Extensive experience in managing high-power charging infrastructure, substation, power distribution, or energy infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of power network construction
• Experience with main contracting, subcontracting, or demanding earthworks-driven electrical projects
• Proven ability to lead teams and field organizations
• Strong financial understanding and cost control skills
• Proficiency in digital project management and reporting tools
• Fluent Finnish language skills (English is considered an advantage)
