We are looking for an experienced, solution-oriented Head of Unit who is excited about developing production, leading capabilities, and building the processes of modern infrastructure construction. You enjoy driving broad end-to-end initiatives and can lead the required capabilities in a way that enables project management to succeed while meeting customer needs.

CableCrew designs and builds society’s critical infrastructure together with customers and stakeholders: fibre and telecommunications networks, electricity distribution and EV charging, and data center solutions. The company is a medium-sized, financially sound and responsible player founded in 2022. Service delivery is carried out through our own personnel and equipment, supported by an extensive partner network. Our new strategy, “Better infrastructure with less disruption,” puts safety, quality, renewal and productivity growth at the core. Employee well-being and customer satisfaction are key strategic metrics.

In line with our strategy, we are implementing a new management system in which the Competence Center (design, production methods, capabilities and situational awareness) serves as the backbone of CableCrew’s production by providing the capabilities needed to deliver successful projects. In this role, you will have a concrete impact on how infrastructure in Finland is designed, built and maintained in the coming years—based on customer needs.

Role description

As Head of Unit, you will lead CableCrew’s Competence Center, which is responsible for developing and ensuring the availability of design and delivery capabilities aligned with customer requirements, helping customer owners and project managers succeed in project deliveries.

In the role, you will maintain production situational awareness, support project planning, and ensure the capabilities required for delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring that design and production support are high quality, consistent and compliant with customer requirements, and you will participate in the extended management team to ensure strategy execution and to develop the service offering.

You will work closely with customer owners, project managers and the company’s management. You will participate in customer, authority and partner meetings. You will report to the Business Director.

This is a new and strategically important role—you will build the team and operating model step by step in line with the new strategy.

Key responsibilities

Supporting production management

  • Lead the overall production situational awareness across all CableCrew services.

  • Support project planning processes, ensuring that customer, authority and production requirements are met.

  • Ensure the availability of required partners and capabilities in line with customer needs.

Capability leadership

  • Support project managers and account managers in achieving their targets.

  • Lead your unit with people management responsibility.

  • Participate in the company’s strategy work and the extended management team, ensuring that the service offering and sales are aligned with customer needs.

Development of methods and operating models

  • Identify capability and method needs required for development.

  • Develop operating models, working methods, required processes and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with telecom operators, authorities, designers and partners.

We expect from you

  • Experience in leading end-to-end operations and managing resources.

  • Experience with digital tools and operational development.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • A solution-oriented and development-driven mindset.

  • Fluent Finnish and English.

  • Experience in telecom and power network construction or data center construction is considered an advantage.
