We are looking for a solution-oriented Designer who will be responsible for implementation design and documentation as part of our customer account team.

CableCrew designs and builds critical infrastructure together with customers and stakeholders: fibre-optic and telecommunications networks, electricity networks, charging infrastructure and data centre solutions. The company is a medium-sized, financially stable and responsible operator founded in 2022. Our service delivery is carried out by our own personnel and equipment, supported by a comprehensive partner network. Role description

As a Designer in the customer account team, you will be responsible for the implementation design of fixed fibre-optic networks built for our customers, ensuring that plans, work maps, permit-related materials and documentation are accurate and up to date. Your work enables smooth project handovers to the customer by ensuring the quality of all required documentation.

You will work closely with project management and the project organisation to ensure that construction progresses safely, correctly and on schedule. You will also communicate with the customer’s project organisation in accordance with the customer account model. You will have the opportunity to develop the role further.

Key responsibilities

• Network design

  • Implementation design and, when needed, field design.
  • Preparing work maps and verifying baseline information.

• Permits and regulatory documentation

  • Supporting permit acquisition and compiling documents related to permit processes.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders (clients, network owners, authorities).

• Cost estimates and feasibility

  • Ensuring the feasibility of the design.
  • Monitoring cost estimates and verifying baseline data.

• Documentation and systems

  • Producing and maintaining documentation according to the agreed structure.
  • Using network information systems and design tools.

We expect from you

  • Relevant technical education or equivalent skills gained through experience.
  • Experience in similar design tasks (fibre and/or electricity networks).
  • Competence in operators’/network owners’ network information systems and documentation.
  • A self-directed and proactive approach, ability to get things done and collaborate with production.
  • Understanding of project and construction business.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English (spoken and written).
